Axl Rose is AC/DC’s new singer frontman will follow the footsteps of Brian Johnson

Lo and behold, The Guns N' Roses

Axl Rose is AC/DC’s new singer frontman will follow the footsteps of Brian Johnson
After weeks and weeks for rumors, the legendary Australian outfit made the news official, and only moments before Guns N’ Roses hit the stage for their headlining set at Coachella. Here’s the official statement:“AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years. We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures. As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian’s decision to stop touring and save his hearing. We are dedicated to fulfilling the remainder of our touring commitments to everyone that has supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfill this commitment.”As previously reported, frontman and vocalist Brian Johnson was recently forced to stop touring for risk of losing all hearing. Although there was rampant speculation that he was “kicked to the curb.”Regardless, Rose has quite a busy few months ahead of him, quite possibly the busiest days of his post-millennium career thus far. Consult his full itinerary below and get ready for a whole lotta Axl.

Axl Rose Becoming AC/DC’s New Singer

Axl Rose lead singer with GNR is hit by a water bottle during the live performance O2 Dublin

In April, the reunited Guns N’ Roses are playing six shows, two in Las Vegas, two in Mexico, and two at Coachella. A full-blown tour may be in the works — when a fan bumped into Axl into Atlanta, the hard-partying singer allegedly said, “We’re gonna do a whole tour” — but nothing has been announced yet. Besides, Axl doesn’t have the time to see if he can still threaten to fight Bob Guccione, Jr. at Spin — he’s too busy reportedly auditioning for AC/DC.

On his radio show, Atlanta-based DJ Jason Bailey said a “very, very good source” told him “Axl was meeting with [AC/DC].” It’s “all but a done deal that Axl will front AC/DC for the 10 remaining shows” on their tour, after doctors advised Brian Johnson to stop performing live, or risk “total hearing loss.”

“From what I was told, this was all kind of new inside information to me, Angus is a very black and white guy. He’s like, Brian, for health reasons, can’t continue fronting the band. He was supposed to retire after the last tour, so they wanted to continue going out on the road and continue making music, so if you can’t do it, we appreciate your services, but the show must go on. They’re in town, they were auditioning people for the job, and then they flew Axl in, again, this is from my source.”

If Axl Rose gets a hall pass to cheat on Guns N’ Roses with AC/DC, it’s only fair that Slash is allowed to do the same with Aerosmith. Duff McKagan’s been sleeping with Loaded for years, but no one seems to notice
