Axl Rose is AC/DC’s new singer frontman will follow the footsteps of Brian Johnson

Lo and behold, The Guns N' Roses

Axl Rose is AC/DC’s new singer frontman will follow the footsteps of Brian Johnson
After weeks and weeks for rumors, the legendary Australian outfit made the news official, and only moments before Guns N’ Roses hit the stage for their headlining set at Coachella. Here’s the official statement:“AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years. We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures. As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian’s decision to stop touring and save his hearing. We are dedicated to fulfilling the remainder of our touring commitments to everyone that has supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfill this commitment.”As previously reported, frontman and vocalist Brian Johnson was recently forced to stop touring for risk of losing all hearing. Although there was rampant speculation that he was “kicked to the curb.”Regardless, Rose has quite a busy few months ahead of him, quite possibly the busiest days of his post-millennium career thus far. THE SHAMAN The highly acclaimed, blockbuster-style short film see it here first

Capture

The Shaman came out in  March. And now, after a profitable run at movie festivals, you may lastly see it for your self.

At seventeen minutes, The Shaman is a bit longer than many different shorts, however that’s to not its detriment. It simply contributes to the general sense that what you’re truly seeing is a full cinematic characteristic movie—which is smart, because it was initially conceived as one. Marco Kalantari (Ainoa) makes use of each second he has to full impact. Now we have would-building, efficient exposition, motion scenes, and a confrontation that’s all about willpower.

The premise is that a warfare is being waged–a conflict wherein shamans are used to go to the afterlife, so as to speak to the souls of the enemy’s conflict machines. A couple of minutes of dialog can deliver these souls over–a victory for the shamans. However in a battle with one among

them, a shaman will get a than he bargained for.

he highly acclaimed, blockbuster-style short film THE SHAMAN premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York in 2015. After that it ran successfully at numerous film festivals around the globe, including Los Angeles, London, San Diego and the DragonCon in Atlanta. The trailer turned into a viral sensation with over 4 million views.

The dark year 2204, in a world that has seen 73 years of continuous war. Recently mankind re-discovered the arts of Shamanism. The Shaman’s school of thought believes that every person or object has a soul. During battle Shamans step over into the Netherworld to find and convert the souls of their enemies’ giant battle machines. This tactic enables a single man to overcome an invincibly seeming steel monster.

This is the story of Joshua, a Shaman, who is sent on a mission to convert the soul of a giant battle colossus. He does not yet know that the soul is prepared for his coming and that the deadly psychological soul-to-soul confrontation in the Netherworld will be on eye level.

Gothic Punk - How to Get the Goth Punk Look

[ad_1]

The gothic punk look is one that is often misunderstood.  In actuality, goth and punk are two separate subcultures.  Punk is more closely drawn to the punk rock music scene, and many punk and rock music fans are mistaken for being part of the goth subculture.

Goth, rather than being based upon any certain type of music, is seen as its proponents more as a means of personal expression.  Often, dressing in the goth style is a reaction to feeling separate from those around them, whether as outcasts, or as a general feeling of just being different.

The gothic look draws its influences from many sources.  Clothing typically emulates that of the middle ages, Victorian age, or early twentieth century.  The make-up is heavily dark, with use of black eyeliner by both male and female goths.

This cosmetic style is thought to be influenced at least partially by the early silent film actress, Theda Bara, whose large eyes, dark make-up, and dark hair was especially striking on screen.

While gothic punk isn't a style all its own, it's common for goths and punks to share some similarities in their dress and attitude.  Both are fiercely independent and believe strongly in self expression.

Typically, both are meticulous about their specialized hair styles and make-up.  It is in choice of color and fashion that the two differ the most.

Punk clothes are often deconstructed.  That is, they are purposefully torn, or they can look unfinished, and additionally, they are usually modern.

Goths, on the other hand, rely on well-fitted garments and convey their style through choice of color, fabric, and most importantly, accessories, and their clothing is usually based on earlier centuries' fasions.

The other typical focus of gothic clothing is on emphasizing sexuality.  The goth look is often revealing.  Fitted garments and corset accentuate the female form.  Hose and tights are ripped to showcase the legs, and tight pants on both genders have the same effect.

Both punk and goth dressers reject mainstream styles and sensibilities, so it is common for people to confuse or combine them into a sort of gothic punk.

‘The Walking Dead’ May Have Cast A ‘Deadwood’ Actor As The Villainous Negan

(Some spoilers ahead for comic and TV fans)

This should be considered as just a rumor for now, but it’s a convincing one. Let’s just get what you came here for out of the way, and not bury the lede: Garret Dillahunt (Justified, Deadwood) may have been cast as the terrible, no-good, murderous Negan in AMC’s The Walking Dead. The general consensus is that Negan’s arrival is imminent, and it wouldn’t be shocking at all if the barbed wire bat-swinging baddie finally made his appearance this season during the finale.

Negan The Walking Dead

Image

In Robert Kirkman’s comic book, he’s the man who ultimately kills (SPOILER) Glenn, crushing his skull with his weapon of choice: Lucille. Since Glenn may already be dead (but, then again, he may not), we might not see that scene in the TV series, which is a shame, because it would have intensified Negan’s threat. Maybe, he’ll just have to kill someone else. (I’m looking at you, Carl.)

So, why the belief that Dillahunt has been cast in the role? Well, there’s this tweet that went out earlier this week, for starters:

That’s the collection of The Walking Dead that introduces Negan — it’s not much to go on, but then, as The Spoiling Dead Fans pointed out, there’s the fact that TWD stars John Carroll Lynch (Eastman) and Alanna Masterson (Tara) began following Dillahunt on Twitter. Perhaps the most convincing Twitter evidence comes in the form of Scott M. Gimple — TWD showrunner — following Dillahunt, when he only follows a little over 300 people. If none of that has convinced you, then take a gander at the halo emoticon that the actor tweeted out after a coy response to whether Lucille has any significance to him:

Dillahunt plays up the comedy on Raising Hope, but on Deadwood and Justified, he showed the kind of villainous chops that would suit Negan just fine.

What do you think? Would he be a convincing Negan?

"Testament Of Youth" New York Premiere - Arrivals

SPOILERS, ETCETERA, for season five of Game of Thrones

Honestly if you’re not caught up on season five of Game of Thrones at this point, you should probably just turn off the internet until you’re done watching all of the episodes, because I can barely figure out not how to write a damn headline that doesn’t give everything away without just saying [REDACTED] was seen [REDACTED] in [REDACTED].

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, despite how much the Game of Thrones showrunners object and how its been hinted that he might come back as a warg, everything else is telling us that Jon Snow is still alive — from Kit Harington’s hairstyle to this location theory. And now fueling rumors, a reader of Watchers on the Wall spotted Harington on a flight from London to Belfast on Monday night. As in, the Belfast where Game of Thrones is currently filming.

This isn’t the first time Harington has been spotted in Belfast this year, as this is at least his third trip since pre-production started. Watchers on the Wall notes that, if he was just filming a funeral scene, there would probably be no need for this many visits. Harington has also allegedly been refusing photo ops with fans.

Last but not least, there was also this nugget:

For those of you deeply invested in #HairWatch, Harington was sporting a man-bun.

MAN-BUN. Guy doesn’t just go man-bunning around unless he’s got something to hide. This has been your continuing coverage of SNOWWATCH 2015, or, as we also like to refer to it as, “Kit Harington’s Personal Hell.”

Finally, Photographic Evidence that Kit Harington Has Joined the Cast of Game of Thrones in Belfast

Yesterday we posted a round-up of all the Game of Thrones actors who had been sighted in Belfast for the Season 6 script read-throughs. They included Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, and many more. But while there were rumors that Kit Harington had been spotted in the Game of Thrones home base in Northern Ireland, there was no proof yet. All that changed today when Watchers on the Wall, a site dedicated to all things Game of Thrones, posted photos of Harington arriving in the Belfast airport. The return of Jon Snow is turning into the worst-kept secret in TV history.

You can see another image of Harington’s arrival over on WoW that focuses on the actor’s on-trend man bun. Rest assured, these are taken in the Belfast airport—see this photo for comparison. And, despite the beard partially obstructing his face, that is Kit. He was seen with the same leather suitcase just a few days ago. We’re relieved to see him reunited with his Game of Thrones crew and we’re even more relieved to see his luscious, Stark-ish locks intact—even if they are tucked up into a man bun.

Does a Harington sighting in Belfast guarantee Jon Snow will return in any shape or form other than a stone-cold corpse? No, I suppose not. Charles Dance also spent some time filming in Belfast last year and all we got from Tywin in Season 5 were those crazy rock eyes.

But given all the other evidence mounting including casting news and exciting filming locations, well, the case for Jon Snow surviving the mutiny at the Wall grows stronger every day.

Cross-Stitch Tattoos By Turkish Artist Eva Krbdk

Many people consider cross-stitching to be something their grandma would do, but Eva Krbdk, a tattoo artist based in Ankara, Turkey, seems to think otherwise. Her cross-stitch tattoo designs look like a cross between pixel art and the popular folk art they’re named for.

Many of her pieces are simple and cute, but with a large-enough canvas, they can become truly impressive, utilizing a wide array of colors that blend to form beautiful images. She’s not a one-trick pony, either – check out her Instagram for other cool tattoos!

Adult Wednesday Addams” Pulled From YouTube Over Copyright

“Adult Wednesday Addams” Pulled From YouTube Over Copyright

adult wednesday

Apparently there’s such a thing as a parody web series being too good. The hit series “Adult Wednesday Addams” created by Melissa Hunter has disappeared from YouTube after the original creators of “The Addams Family” flagged it.

The web series shot to fame recently when an episode about Wednesday Addams getting her revenge on catcallers went viral and earned her international press coverage — enough to catch the attention of the Tee & Charles Addams Foundation, who hold the copyright for the work of American cartoonist Charles Addams.

The decision may be connected to an upcoming reboot of “The Addams Family” as an animated film from MGM, announced last Halloween.

Melissa addressed the show’s disappearance on Facebook. “Thank you for the outpouring of support and concern about the disappearance of Adult Wednesday Addams from the internet. As many of you have seen, the Tee & Charles Addams Foundation flagged the show and, for now, it is off of YouTube. I am working actively on coming to a resolution and will not let Wednesday be caged in internet purgatory. I appreciate your patience and support while I sort this issue out!”

Judging by the flood of dismayed comments, “Adult Wednesday Addams” fans are not going to accept this decision easily.

I don't understand why this isn't covered as parody?

nope if it's parody. The problem is that this isn't a parody of the universe or character, but a direct, logical progression in the form of a fan made

but a direct, logical progression in the form of a fan made sequel. It's why Scary Movie can copy all the movies they did, so this is the issue "Wednesday Addams" is (c) by MGM

This the response I received:

Dear Michael Goodwin,

Thank you for your comments concerning the suspension of Melissa Hunter's The Adult Wednesday Addams©. Unfortunately for all involved, it is not as simple as you are thinking it might be: The Establishment versus the artist - on the contrary.

We have a contract with MGM to produce a full-length animated feature film of The Addams Family® to look exactly as Charles Addams originally painted them. That contract prohibits anyone from portraying those characters in any media during the life of the contract.

Regardless of her talent or the breadth of her audience or the entertainment it gave you, the online series is a violation of that contract, something for which both Ms Hunter and this Foundation could have been sued heavily. You can thank Melissa Hunter for not having understood the need to contact us so as to obtain a license to protect her show. Now it is too late and she will have to wait to resume her career as the Adult Wednesday Addams© until a year after the film has been released.

Hopefully, she realizes that she already has an audience and merely needs to change the title of her show and her appearance.

With best regards, Tee and charles addams foundation P.O. Box 424 • SAGAPONACK, NEW YORK 11962 (T) 631-537-4554 www.addamsfoundation.org www.charlesaddams.com
