SYDNEY — A recent announcement coming from ABC For Kids Australia has detailed plans for a new full-length collaboration between children’s music veterans The Wiggles and Montreal-based electronic musician Lunice.

The album, entitled THSMRNNG, will be a ten-track work of music for children guided towards helping them develop proper morning routines.

Many of the album’s tracks such as “We Brush Our Teeth” and “Off To School We Go” are aimed at practicing regular habits, while other songs like “Pajama Wiggle” and “Boop-Dee-Ba With Lunice” encourage physical activity.

The musicians first met at the London edition of the Red Bull Music Academy in 2010, where The Wiggles gave a lecture on the art of writing and recording music for children.

Lunice, who was in attendance, expressed interest in working with the Australian group after a short backstage jam “developed into a ton of inspiring ideas.”

“We think kids will really like this new sound,” said Wiggles member Anthony Field in an interview outside the ABC For Kids studio.

“When we first met Lunice we were very impressed with his passion for forward-thinking children’s music. At first I wasn’t sure how children would react, but after seeing the smile on my son’s face when I showed him some of the early demos, I was sure that the collaboration would be nothing short of radiant.”
