In a decade that truly embraced scares on the big screen, 1987 was a standout year for theatrical horror, and on a new episode of Corpse Club, the ghoulish gang discusses the eclectic and altogether eerie Class of ’87, which we've been celebrating this summer on Daily Dead.

Titled "Celebrating the Horror Films of 1987," episode 11 of Corpse Club features co-hosts Heather Wixson, Patrick Bromley, Scott Drebit, Derek Anderson, and Jonathan James. This time around at the cemetery, we celebrate the horror genre's Class of 1987 by looking back at our favorite horror movies released that year. We also discuss why 1987 was one of the pinnacle periods for the genre, and we open our mailbag to make sure there isn't a monster hiding inside and to reflect on some of the movies from ’87 that our listeners are dying to hear about.
