In their early days, Love Like Blood were strongly influenced by the music of Killing Joke, Fields of the Nephilim and The Sisters of Mercy. In 1992, guitarist Mark Wheeler joined the band. From that moment on, Love Like Blood changed their musical direction to a more Hard Rock and (soon after) Heavy Metal inspired style (Gothic Metal?).
