On Saturday night I DJed and performed a live show in Bushwick, Brooklyn at The Bossa Nova Civic Club. I’ve mentioned “Bossa” a few times. It’s a small place in the middle of what was once nowhere. The nowhere part is changing quickly as Bushwick has become the place to be. I would argue Bossa had a big role in making the area cool. The event was Synthicide which is run by DJ Andi. Synthicide is one of the best events in the NYC area. It’s a mix of EBM, Industrial and straight up techno. Each event features 3 different DJs or live acts. Saturday night Andi herself played, the absolutely legendary Frankie Bones and myself. Luckily Bossa recorded the set so you can hear for yourself what a great music night it was. As most DJs or performers know it’s very different playing in your hometown than abroad. You know a lot of people in the crowd in front of you. This was the first time I ever did a DJ set and then went right into a live show. I had a absolute blast! Thanks to everyone who came and everyone who waited on line to get in! I am working on my next album. I have about 5 songs finished and the plan it to start releasing singles in the fall with remixes and the album before the year is over. I also have a big European tour set for October and then some US dates following that. See you there!
