Noisy Oxford quartet Drore (featuring members of Undersmile and Crippled Black Phoenix) release their new EP ‘Tape Two: Life Regrets’ this Friday, but you can listen to the whole thing right here, right now, exclusively with Terrorizer…

Far removed from both Crippled Black Phoenix’s proggy soundscapes and Undersmile’s slo-mo elegance, Drore’s sound is filthy, immediate and punk as fuck.

“I think the main difference [between Undersmile and Drore] was the discipline required whilst playing! Drore shows are pretty shambolic in comparison,” laughs guitarist Taz Corona-Brown. “We really just wanted to do a horrible noising at people.”

‘Tape Two: Life Regrets’ is heavier, faster and more textured than last year’s ‘TapeOne’ debut, and will have you gripped from the searing, feedback drenched intro ‘Novelty Tattoo Sleeve’ right the way through to torturous nine-minute closer ‘New Skids On The Block’. Songs like ‘Old Egg’ veer from driving punk stomp into degenerate doomy dirges, like some unholy fusion of Babes In Toyland and Burning Witch. But hey, don’t just take our word for it; hit play below and discover the filth for yourself…

‘Tape Two: Life Regrets’ is released on September 22nd via Rad Nauseam

Drore play Stuck On A Name Studios, Nottingham, on October 21st (Event link)
