WAYNE STATIC's Widow TERA WRAY STATIC Found Dead

wayneandterastaticbanner wayneterarevolver2011_638 (1)

Tera Wray Static, the widow of STATIC-X frontman and founder Wayne Static and former adult film star, was found dead late last night of an apparent suicide, a longtime associate of Wayne She was 33 years old.

According to AVN, Wray, who was born Tera Lents, met Wayne during the Ozzfest tour in 2007 when she was modeling for Hustler lingerie. They were married in January 2008 and she retired from porn in August of that year.

A friend of Tera's named Rik Marin posted the following message in the comments section"I spent all day yesterday with Tara [sic]. We had lunch hung out and talked about life without Wayne she show no indication that she was going to take her life. She did talk about fighting the

depression for the past 2 years since Wayne had passed..I was shocked when I got the call at 1 am that she had passed.. Instead of hating we should all be happy that Tara had made Wayne so happy he really loved Tera. And put in a track of EVIL DISCO and remember Wayne and

the woman he loved...it's really hard for us friends of Wayne n Tera to read these comments..keep Disco EVIL in remembrance of Wayne. I loved you both an will miss are good times at the Dirthouse.."

Static was married to Wayne Static, the enigmatic frontman of metal band Static-X, who passed away in early November of 2014 from a mixture of strong prescription drugs and alcohol.

No further details regarding her passing have been released but this is an incredibly sad story to write.

As many of you know, I’ve battled my own demons in the past when it came to suicide. I know what absolute bottom feels like and to know that Tera felt that she was at that place just breaks my heart.

I beg of anyone who feels like they’re alone and there’s nothing left to live for to reconsider. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. If you are not in the United States, please utilize whatever resource you have available to you.

Tera, I hate that you chose this path but I truly hope you rest in peace.

Korean man arrested for boiling 600 cats alive, selling the meat for use in soup

stray1

Cat lovers may want to sit down for this.

South Korean police arrested a 54-year-old man on suspicion of catching up to 600 stray cats around his neighborhood, boiling them alive, skinning and gutting the carcasses and then selling the meat to locals for use in a special medicinal soup. The Korea JoongAng Daily reported on the incident on May 21, writing that the Pusan Police Department arrested the man on May 21 on charges of violating Korea’s animal protection laws, although the case appears to still be under investigation. The man is accused of luring neighborhood stray cats with food, then capturing them and throwing them – alive – into a vat of boiling water in his home. He would then, police allege, skin and butcher the cats and store the meat in his freezer until buyers came around. The accused apparently engaged in this activity for a period of a little over a year starting in February, 2014 – killing up to 600 felines in that time. stray2 Police, the JoongAng Daily reports, were quoted as saying that a rumor has been doing the rounds in South Korea – presumably among the elderly community – which purports that cat meat, if boiled in a soup, helps to relieve arthritis. They advised Koreans to avoid illegally obtained cat meat, the JoongAng Daily notes, as it is unregulated in South Korea, unlike other more common meats such as beef and pork. Now, since I can picture the comments section for this story quickly becoming a roiling cauldron of outrage, let’s note that, this individual’s heinous crimes aside, each country has its own cultural taboos when it comes to the consumption of certain animals and one country’s adorable pet may be another country’s delicious stew ingredient. Hell, I would gladly eat (frankly quite delicious) horse meat every single day if I could, but that’s illegal in some countries. The JoongAng itself also reported as early as 2010 that cats, which were apparently once shunned by the Korean public, are becoming increasingly popular pets in Korea, so these Eastern medicine beliefs about cat meat are sure to fall by the wayside sooner or later if they haven’t already. That said, animal cruelty should never be condoned and we hope the 18 live cats – apparently destined for the pot – police found in the man’s dwelling find a good and caring home. Adult Wednesday Addams” Pulled From YouTube Over Copyright

“Adult Wednesday Addams” Pulled From YouTube Over Copyright

adult wednesday

Apparently there’s such a thing as a parody web series being too good. The hit series “Adult Wednesday Addams” created by Melissa Hunter has disappeared from YouTube after the original creators of “The Addams Family” flagged it.

The web series shot to fame recently when an episode about Wednesday Addams getting her revenge on catcallers went viral and earned her international press coverage — enough to catch the attention of the Tee & Charles Addams Foundation, who hold the copyright for the work of American cartoonist Charles Addams.

The decision may be connected to an upcoming reboot of “The Addams Family” as an animated film from MGM, announced last Halloween.

Melissa addressed the show’s disappearance on Facebook. “Thank you for the outpouring of support and concern about the disappearance of Adult Wednesday Addams from the internet. As many of you have seen, the Tee & Charles Addams Foundation flagged the show and, for now, it is off of YouTube. I am working actively on coming to a resolution and will not let Wednesday be caged in internet purgatory. I appreciate your patience and support while I sort this issue out!”

Judging by the flood of dismayed comments, “Adult Wednesday Addams” fans are not going to accept this decision easily.

I don't understand why this isn't covered as parody?

nope if it's parody. The problem is that this isn't a parody of the universe or character, but a direct, logical progression in the form of a fan made

but a direct, logical progression in the form of a fan made sequel. It's why Scary Movie can copy all the movies they did, so this is the issue "Wednesday Addams" is (c) by MGM

This the response I received:

Dear Michael Goodwin,

Thank you for your comments concerning the suspension of Melissa Hunter's The Adult Wednesday Addams©. Unfortunately for all involved, it is not as simple as you are thinking it might be: The Establishment versus the artist - on the contrary.

We have a contract with MGM to produce a full-length animated feature film of The Addams Family® to look exactly as Charles Addams originally painted them. That contract prohibits anyone from portraying those characters in any media during the life of the contract.

Regardless of her talent or the breadth of her audience or the entertainment it gave you, the online series is a violation of that contract, something for which both Ms Hunter and this Foundation could have been sued heavily. You can thank Melissa Hunter for not having understood the need to contact us so as to obtain a license to protect her show. Now it is too late and she will have to wait to resume her career as the Adult Wednesday Addams© until a year after the film has been released.

Hopefully, she realizes that she already has an audience and merely needs to change the title of her show and her appearance.

With best regards, Tee and charles addams foundation P.O. Box 424 • SAGAPONACK, NEW YORK 11962 (T) 631-537-4554 www.addamsfoundation.org www.charlesaddams.com
