Trainspotting 2 Needs Extras For An 80s Nightclub Scene
Choose life.
Remember how excited everyone was when we told you that Trainspotting 2 had started filming? Well, you can get even more excited about it because there’s actually a chance that you might be able to actually appear in the movie yourself.
This is probably only going to appeal to people from Edinburgh or at a push Scotland, but Edinburgh nightclub has set up a Facebook event
advertising for extras in the shoot on June 14th. That’s a week on Tuesday so if you’re not in the immediate area and
don’t fancy taking time off for this then it’s probably a no goer.
Here are the details:
Danny Boyle and the original cast will be in town for a very special 80s bash
Want to be there? You need to –
**be free throughout the afternoon and evening of 14th June
**be between 18 & 30 years old
**come dressed for 80s NIGHT
We’ll have plenty of prizes to dish out for the best 80s costumes, including:
40” 4K TV, Picturehouse cinema membership, cinema tickets, signed Trainspotting & Irvine Welsh goodies
Spaces are limited and admission to the event is not guaranteed !!
By entering the premises you grant TS2 Productions Ltd (“the Company”) the right to use your voice and likeness in any and all media in connection with promoting and exploiting the film. No alcohol will be available during filming.
It sounds pretty awesome – but it also sounds like it’s probably going to be pretty difficult to get involved with it as 3.7K people are already attending and we’ve got almost two weeks before the actual event. It’s probably worth going down though if you live in the area and have got some great 80s clobber and can get down.
I’m not really sure why it’s an 80s night though? I mean I suppose it could be a flashback but Trainspotting came out in 96 when all the characters were pretty much adults and now it’s 2016 so that doesn’t really make sense? I guess maybe they’re all going to an 80s night for someone’s birthday or something?
Tera Wray Static, the widow of STATIC-X frontman and founder Wayne Static and former adult film star, was found dead late last night of an apparent suicide, a longtime associate of Wayne She was 33 years old.
According to AVN, Wray, who was born Tera Lents, met Wayne during the Ozzfest tour in 2007 when she was modeling for Hustler lingerie. They were married in January 2008 and she retired from porn in August of that year.
A friend of Tera's named Rik Marin posted the following message in the comments section"I spent all day yesterday with Tara [sic]. We had lunch hung out and talked about life without Wayne she show no indication that she was going to take her life. She did talk about fighting the
depression for the past 2 years since Wayne had passed..I was shocked when I got the call at 1 am that she had passed.. Instead of hating we should all be happy that Tara had made Wayne so happy he really loved Tera. And put in a track of EVIL DISCO and remember Wayne and
the woman he loved...it's really hard for us friends of Wayne n Tera to read these comments..keep Disco EVIL in remembrance of Wayne. I loved you both an will miss are good times at the Dirthouse.."
Static was married to Wayne Static, the enigmatic frontman of metal band Static-X, who passed away in early November of 2014 from a mixture of strong prescription drugs and alcohol.
No further details regarding her passing have been released but this is an incredibly sad story to write.
As many of you know, I’ve battled my own demons in the past when it came to suicide. I know what absolute bottom feels like and to know that Tera felt that she was at that place just breaks my heart.
I beg of anyone who feels like they’re alone and there’s nothing left to live for to reconsider. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. If you are not in the United States, please utilize whatever resource you have available to you.
Tera, I hate that you chose this path but I truly hope you rest in peace.
Pauley Perrette, who performs scientist Abby Sciuto on "NCIS," says a "psychotic homeless man" punched her in the face Thursday night time and vowed he would kill her.
Perrette says she was strolling from her Hollywood dwelling to a visitor home she owned when the man appeared, repeatedly threatening to kill her
It is a weird story. Perrette says she informed the man, who referred to as himself William, that he had a "stunning title" however he simply punched her once more.
She says, "I went into shock ... collapsed on the sidewalk." She says cops got here, she drew a "police sketch" of the man, who was "headed in direction of Hollywood Blvd with homicide in his eyes." Perrette says cops arrested him.
Now it will get actually bizarre. Perrette tweeted, "I'm shaken and traumatized. My home, my beloved Hollywood. My beloved homeless people who I spend my life defending ... My life changed tonight."
She ends by writing, "We have to not stroll alone. I have to heal. I virtually died tonight."
Perrette stated the attacker recognized himself as William, which prompted her to say “William is a lovely identify, I've a nephew named William.” Police mentioned this assertion saved her from frequently being assaulted.
After the assault, the actress says she collapsed on the street in shock of what occurred.
“I texted my pal and my buddy cop,” Perrette added. “I instantly drew a police sketch of the man who was headed in the direction of Hollywood Boulevard with homicide in his eyes.”
Perrette added she noticed a person strolling his canine close by, however he didn't cease to assist her following the assault.
CBS2’s Jasmine Viel spoke with Tony Williamson who believes he was the particular person Perrette referred to in her
“I simply saved going at that time as a result of I simply assumed it was one other homeless particular person on the market,” Williamson stated. “I ought to have gone again and mentioned, ‘What’s occurring?’ I simply made my very own assumption.”
Police mentioned Perrette’s buddy tracked down the suspect, David Merck, at a 7-Eleven comfort retailer positioned on Cahuenga Boulevard at Yucca Road.
The actress positively recognized Merck as her attacker. He was subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of creating criminal threats and felony assault.
Corey Taylor – who has sold 60 million albums with the heavy metal group – will lend his deafening roar to alien warlord the Fisher King
Boiler suit shock rockers Slipknot don’t immediately spring to mind when you think of a Saturday night in with the kids.
But their scary front man has been roped in by the BBC to give Doctor Who viewers a proper fright this series.
Corey Taylor – who has sold 60 million albums with the heavy metal group – will lend his deafening roar to alien warlord the Fisher King as he battles Time Lord Peter Capaldi.
Corey, 41, is a massive Whovian and when producers heard Slipknot were playing in Cardiff in January, they put out feelers.
An insider said: “Production got in touch with Slipknot because they heard Corey and the band love the show.”
US metalhead Corey was named the seventh-greatest metal front man ever by NME magazine.
The source added: “They gave them a VIP tour and asked if Corey wanted to record his famous scream.
“He agreed instantly and was made up about it.”

Fisher King, a green hulk of a creature with horns protruding from his body, appears next Saturday.
He is played by the tallest Brit, 7ft 7in Neil Fingleton, and his speaking voice is Shaun of the Dead’s Peter Serafinowicz.
But, having penned such blood-curdling tunes as Wait and Bleed and Psychosocial, it will be Corey’s bellow that gives him the horrific edge.
I’m just glad Slipknot isn’t doing the theme tune.
Corey Taylor is set to lend his roar to an alien warlord, Fisher King, on the October 3 episode of Doctor Who.
The Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman / Doctor Who enthusiast was approached by the production team back in January this year to see if he would be interested in appearing on the show,
Recently, there’s been news of a Harry Potter themed bar and restaurant called The Lockhart. Unfortunately, we can’t all visit Toronto and get a seat at The Lockhart.
That’s okay because these Harry Potter-themed shooters from Graphic Nerdity can help fill the void in your very own home.
Sorry young fans, this is strictly for the 21+ crowd.
Called “Harry Shotters,” the themed shots are punnily-named and filled with a bevy of booze. As Graphic Nerdity says, “These drinks are not for beginners. By that I mean only experienced Harry Potter fans will appreciate the puns that went into making them.”
Judging by the ingredients for the Avada Tequila, these shooters are indeed not for beginner drinkers — or experienced ones, even. Most of these concoctions probably taste as good as Polyjuice Potion. But hey, we all know how well that works!*
*Wears off quickly and is not a surefire disguise, so drink these shots with caution.
Tabasco sauce? This one will certainly leave wounds in your mouth.
There were some other ideas that Graphic Nerdy didn’t see through, for unknown reasons. Lord Vodkamort, Flourish & Blattoed and Cognac McLaggen were left off the list. Personally I’d love to see whatFlourish & Blattoed is.
If you’re more of a visual person, these drawings of the shots from Michelle Richard may help you better understand how crazy of a night you’ll have after a round of them.
Because we’re all fans here, please share more ideas for Harry Shotters.

SPOILERS, ETCETERA, for season five of Game of Thrones
Honestly if you’re not caught up on season five of Game of Thrones at this point, you should probably just turn off the internet until you’re done watching all of the episodes, because I can barely figure out not how to write a damn headline that doesn’t give everything away without just saying [REDACTED] was seen [REDACTED] in [REDACTED].
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, despite how much the Game of Thrones showrunners object and how its been hinted that he might come back as a warg, everything else is telling us that Jon Snow is still alive — from Kit Harington’s hairstyle to this location theory. And now fueling rumors, a reader of Watchers on the Wall spotted Harington on a flight from London to Belfast on Monday night. As in, the Belfast where Game of Thrones is currently filming.
This isn’t the first time Harington has been spotted in Belfast this year, as this is at least his third trip since pre-production started. Watchers on the Wall notes that, if he was just filming a funeral scene, there would probably be no need for this many visits. Harington has also allegedly been refusing photo ops with fans.
Last but not least, there was also this nugget:
For those of you deeply invested in #HairWatch, Harington was sporting a man-bun.
MAN-BUN. Guy doesn’t just go man-bunning around unless he’s got something to hide. This has been your continuing coverage of SNOWWATCH 2015, or, as we also like to refer to it as, “Kit Harington’s Personal Hell.”
Finally, Photographic Evidence that Kit Harington Has Joined the Cast of Game of Thrones in Belfast
Yesterday we posted a round-up of all the Game of Thrones actors who had been sighted in Belfast for the Season 6 script read-throughs. They included Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, and many more. But while there were rumors that Kit Harington had been spotted in the Game of Thrones home base in Northern Ireland, there was no proof yet. All that changed today when Watchers on the Wall, a site dedicated to all things Game of Thrones, posted photos of Harington arriving in the Belfast airport. The return of Jon Snow is turning into the worst-kept secret in TV history.
You can see another image of Harington’s arrival over on WoW that focuses on the actor’s on-trend man bun. Rest assured, these are taken in the Belfast airport—see this photo for comparison. And, despite the beard partially obstructing his face, that is Kit. He was seen with the same leather suitcase just a few days ago. We’re relieved to see him reunited with his Game of Thrones crew and we’re even more relieved to see his luscious, Stark-ish locks intact—even if they are tucked up into a man bun.
Does a Harington sighting in Belfast guarantee Jon Snow will return in any shape or form other than a stone-cold corpse? No, I suppose not. Charles Dance also spent some time filming in Belfast last year and all we got from Tywin in Season 5 were those crazy rock eyes.
But given all the other evidence mounting including casting news and exciting filming locations, well, the case for Jon Snow surviving the mutiny at the Wall grows stronger every day.
Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl 'breaks leg' in stage fall
Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl is thought to have broken his leg after falling off the stage during a concert in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The band were two songs into their set at the Ullevi stadium when the singer went to jump on a ramp but missed and fell into the security area.
"I think I just broke my leg," Grohl told the crowd as he lay on the ground.
"I'm going to go to hospital. I'm going to fix my leg. And then I'm going to come back."
He added: "You have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters - we're going to come back and finish the show."
Surreal
Eyewitnesses told the BBC that the band continued the concert, playing cover versions whilst Grohl sought medical attention.
Keiron Brennan 43, from London, filmed the moments just after the 46-year-old frontman toppled from the stage.
He said: "We were only around 200 yards away and at first we thought it was a prank but then it became apparent that it was quite serious. The drummer went ashen and jumped down to see where he was. Everyone was worried as we were only two songs into the gig and we couldn't see what had happened to him.
"He reappeared after an hour to continue the concert, sitting in a chair with his leg bandaged.
"It was surreal to see him perform on stage with a medic holding his leg. The crowd was just amazed that he was carrying on. He was just phenomenal. I can't see how he will make the next gig in Holland but then he's more of a man than I am so I wouldn't put it past him," he added.
Grohl fell at 21:00 local time (20:00 BST) and went on to perform for another two-and-a-half hours.
His band later tweeted a picture of what appears to be an x-ray of his leg.
The Foo Fighters are due to play their next concert on Sunday at the Pinkpop festival in the Netherlands, followed by Wembley Stadium in London next weekend and then a headline set at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK on 26 June.
This year has seen several musicians injured on stage.
Madonna also fell off stage during a live performance at the Brit Awards. The pop star continued her performance, but said she suffered "a little bit of whiplash".

Rare: In December, he made a rare appearance for a Christmas Eve dinner at Ago restaurant in Los Angeles with a friend, who pushed the It actor in a wheelchair

He first starred in the original 1973 London production, and continued to play the part on Broadway before playing the same character in the 1975 film.

He continued: 'It’s neither a blessing nor a curse. I was lucky to get it.'
For many years he rarely discussed the movie, fearing he would be typecast.

Good humor: The Home Alone 2 star cited his humor for helping him through his health crisis
Tim recalled opening night during his Broadway debut in The Rocky Horror Picture Show as 'very exciting' but found its critics to be far too harsh.
'I had to go on the Today Show the next day and they read the reviews - which were appalling,' he explained. 'That brought me down. It was very cruel.'
The reviews described his performance as ‘a mixture of Joan Crawford and Burt Lancaster’ and ‘Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Marc Bolan all in one.'
Stage legend: Between 2004 and 2007 he played King Arthur in the Monty Python musical Spamalot on stage in Chicago, Broadway and the West End
However, he won over the Broadway community in 1981 when he was nominated for a Tony Award for the lead role in the play Amadeus.
'It was a brilliant play and a terrific production. And a wonderful part,' he said of portraying Mozart.
'The big problem is not to make him as loony as he is, but to make him sympathetic as well.'

Cult classic: Tim is best known for his unhinged role as mad transvestite scientist Dr Frank N Furter in the The Rocky Horror Show
Some of his stage credits include What About Dick? My Favorite Year and Travesties, among others.
In 2011 he was scheduled to appear in Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead, however he withdrew from the production at the last minute citing ill health.
Meanwhile, at the viewing party, the veteran actor arrived in a black suit and was seated in a wheelchair.
He joins Theodore Bikel, Alfred Molina and Joe Morton as recipients of the same lifetime achievement award.
Time Wrap! He first starred in the original 1973 London production, and continued to play the part on Broadway before playing the same character in the 1975 film
'It means that it just sort of solidifies the kind of work the American acting community has given me for years now,' he said of the honor.
'It’s very gracious of them, I think. I was thrilled when they told me and I am thrilled now.'
When asked what life would be like for him if it reflected the theater, he said: 'Scary. Well the theater is scary. And the longer the time in between the periods in the theater, the scarier it gets.
Adding: 'Life isn’t meant to be scary. It’s to be celebratory. In which case, it would be like the theater. I think of that as a celebration of life.'
ACPAD was born out of necessity. A need for flexibility, live stability and creative freedom. Berlin musician Robin Sukroso needed a piece of equipment that would allow him to bring his love of both electronic and acoustic music together; that could withstand playing every night, that was easy and intuitive to play, and that could let him explore an entirely new world of sound.
The ACPAD began as an idea and a desire. After 3 years of research, development and a lot of trials, the ACPAD is finally ready for the world. Sukroso along with his partners at IIT Bombay created a new 2 mm thick interface having no wires or screws, a stick-on wireless MIDI controller that is powered by a rechargeable battery. ACPAD is a device with true portability and tonal versatility.
The ACPAD allows players to blend both acoustic and electronic sounds with FX and assignable tap pads. Create whatever sound you want with ACPAD. It is strong, flexible and offers a new world of creativity you have been looking for. ACPAD is an electronic orchestra in your hands!
